As regular as clockwork the seasons unfold as they should and we have to adjust our day to day activities. Since July began the weather has began to include the constant variety of highlights from wind, rain and cold. Never a cyclone or a flood nor snow, moderately strong weather conditions but never extreme. Hence there are still regular travellers and visitors coming to enjoy the ambience of Robe in winter.

winter

With a rugged coastline and even the usually sedate and calm swimming beaches at the fore of spectacular waves foaming and frothing up the sands. Now covered with kelp and cuttlefish mantles instead of towels and sunbathers playing beach games. The assorted flotsam and jetsam delivered from the Southern Ocean adds interest to an amble along the wet sands at all hours of the day.  Robe Town Beach Storm

There can still be days of calm yet the pleasure of a wild winter is not to be missed. tere is something special standing on the cliff tops seeing the waves breaking on reefs and boiling to the shore. To have seen the list of sunken ships name on the steps to the Royal Circus the memories are inspired of the bravery and stoic attitude of the first sailors to our shores.
